Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 8, 2026

This policy explains what information gothambagels.com collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. “Gotham Bagels,” “we” and “us” mean the Gotham Bagels shops that operate this website. It covers this website only. Our shops are in Madison and Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, and in Chicago, Illinois.

Information you give us

Contact form

When you use our contact form, we collect the topic you pick, the shop you choose, your name, your email address, your phone number if you add it, your message, and the event date and guest count if you give them. The form is sent through Web3Forms, a third-party form service, which delivers it to our team by email. It goes to the Gotham Bagels team members who handle that kind of request, and we use it to answer your message. We keep messages as long as we need them to help you and for our records.

Job applications

When you apply through our jobs page, we collect what you enter: your name, email, phone, the position and shops you're interested in, your availability, whether you're authorized to work in the U.S., and anything optional you add, such as experience or a resume link. The application is sent through Web3Forms to our team by email and passed to the hiring manager for the shops you pick. We use it only to consider you for a job and to contact you about it.

Email list

When you sign up for our email list (“Get the good stuff”), we collect your email address, your first name if you add it, and the Gotham shop you pick as your preferred location, along with the page you signed up on. The signup is sent through Web3Forms to our team by email, and we add you to the email list we keep with our email marketing provider. We use it to send you Gotham news, such as new menu items, events, shop openings and offers. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe any time. The email list is separate from Gotham Rewards.

Donation requests

When you send a request through our donation request form, we collect what you enter: your organization's name and nonprofit status, its EIN or tax ID if you add it, your name, email and phone number if you add it, the event's name, date, location and expected attendance, the nearest Gotham, the type of donation and what you're asking for, your description of the organization and event, how Gotham would be recognized, and any file or link you share. It is sent through Web3Forms to our team by email, including any file you attach. We use it only to review your request and contact you about it.

Online ordering, gift cards and Gotham Rewards

Online orders, catering orders, gift cards and Gotham Rewards are handled by Toast, a third-party restaurant platform. When you order, buy or check a gift card, or join Rewards, you leave this website for pages hosted by Toast, and the information you enter there (such as your name, contact details, payment details and order history) is collected by Toast and handled under Toast's privacy policy.

Toast shares your order details, contact information and Rewards activity with the Gotham Bagels shop you order from, so the shop can prepare your order, contact you about it, run Gotham Rewards and improve its service. If you join Gotham Rewards or choose to receive news and offers, we may send you marketing emails or texts. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out of texts by following the instructions in the message.

Information collected automatically

Google Analytics (through Google Tag Manager)

This site uses Google Tag Manager (container GTM-KWZPCMK) to load Google Analytics. It loads after your first interaction with the page, or a few seconds after the page finishes loading. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technology to collect information such as the pages you visit, how you arrived at the site, and your device and browser type. We use it to understand how the site is used and to improve it. Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Advertising

We also use Google Tag Manager to load advertising and remarketing tags from advertising partners. These tags use cookies and similar technology to note that you visited our site, measure whether our ads work, and show you Gotham Bagels ads on other sites and apps. Under some state privacy laws this can count as “sharing” personal information or “targeted advertising.” See Your choices and rights to opt out.

Site behavior analytics

A first-party analytics script (served from this site at /_jb/) measures how pages are used so we can find and fix problems. It records page views, the page you came from, which links and buttons are clicked or tapped and where, how far you scroll, time on the page, general mouse-movement patterns, page-speed measurements, and script errors, along with your screen size, browser language and time zone offset. It notes when a form field is entered, left or submitted, but it does not record what you type, keystrokes or field values, and session recording is turned off. Gotham Bagels runs this analytics through Jamboree, which processes the data for us as a service provider. We use it only to understand and improve how the site works.

The script is built to stop collecting when your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.

Hosting

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address in order to deliver pages and protect the site.

Cookies and browser storage

You can clear or block cookies and site storage in your browser settings. Google offers a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Toast's pages set their own cookies, covered by Toast's policy.

Links to other sites

This site links to other services, including Toast for ordering, Google Maps for directions, and Facebook and Instagram. We don't embed maps or videos from those services on our pages; when you follow a link, that service's own privacy policy applies.

How information is shared

Information is shared with the service providers named above (Web3Forms, Google, Jamboree, Cloudflare and Toast) and with our email marketing provider, so they can do their part in running this site and our email list, and with advertising partners through the tags described above. We don't sell your personal information for money. We may also share information when the law requires it, or to protect our customers, staff or business.

Your choices and rights

• Opt out of ad tracking. Block or clear cookies in your browser, turn on Global Privacy Control, or use Google My Ad Center, the DAA's WebChoices tool and the NAI opt-out page.
• Opt out of marketing. Use the unsubscribe link in any of our emails, or follow the opt-out instructions in a text.
• Access, correct or delete. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we have about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Send your request through our contact page. We may ask you to confirm some details so we know the request is really from you, and we won't treat you differently for making one.

Children's privacy

This site is meant for a general audience and isn't directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child has sent us personal information, let us know through our contact page and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
